Our veterinarians are graduates of The Ontario Veterinary College. The Ontario Veterinary College is the oldest veterinary school in Canada. It is located on the campus of the University of Guelph in Guelph, Ontario. It is the number one ranked veterinary college in Canada, and ranked #4 in the world. Dr. Mason graduated in 1993 and Dr. King in 1994. Together they own Brock Street Animal Hospital which opened it’s doors February 14, 2002.
Registered Veterinary Technicians (RVT’s) are highly educated and trained professionals working as integral members of the veterinary health care team. Their education provides them with the theory and practical skills essential to deliver a gold standard of veterinary care.
Two of our staff members have completed this intensive certification program developed by the late, Dr. Sophia Yin. Dr. Yin was a world renowned veterinary behaviourist. She was a brilliant, humble individual, always focused on teaching and sharing her knowledge. Dr. Yin was a true superstar in the veterinary community and beyond.
The Low Stress Handling Silver certification program teaches veterinary professionals the scientific fundamentals of animal behavior, how to recognize fear, anxiety and stress in veterinary patients, how to handle patients in a safe, calm, gentle manner and how to teach pets by rewarding desirable behaviours and removing rewards for undesirable behaviours.
